lxr.CCN is a Vivansa product — built by people who have worked on the EU's trans-European customs and tax systems since the 1990s.
Who we are
We know CCN from the inside.
We were IT people before we were customs people. CCN/CSI was built in the 1990s by a large team, as the creation of the EU Single Market drove the first great wave of customs reform — and the people who would later create Vivansa were part of that effort: Vivien ran the network's physical deployment across the EU countries and its acceptance testing (1997–1999), and Olivier later served in its first support centre, the CCN/TC. Jacques, our co-founder, was Chief Architect of EMCS, the Excise Movement Control System: in production since 2010, it now carries hundreds of millions of messages between EU administrations every year.
The thread never broke: over the years our people kept working on the EU's customs and tax systems, through programmes such as CUST-DEV2, CUST-DEV3, CCN2 and SOFT-DEV. lxr.CCN, in other words, does not come from nowhere — it is a CCN connector built by people who learned the network from the inside. Creative thinkers with strong engineering and a deep understanding of the customs business: that combination is rare, and it is what Vivansa is made of. lxr.CCN exists so that national Customs & Tax administrations never have to build and maintain proprietary CSI integrations application by application. It has grown through years of production service into two active branches — the widely deployed 2.x, and the native, multi-threaded 3.x — carried forward release after release with the discipline a mission-critical connector demands.
And because software alone is never the whole product: every deployment is backed by the high quality standard of support Vivansa is known for — from the first evaluation to day-to-day operations. High-quality support is in our DNA.
