BRUSSELS; September 6, 2024 — We’re pleased to announce lxr.CCN version 3.0.0, the first release on the new 3.x branch, now available for download on the Vivansa Support Portal.
The 3.x branch is a native re-implementation of lxr.CCN on the NJCSI stack. Since version 2.7, lxr.CCN had run on NJCSI — the CCN/TC team’s full Java implementation of the CSI stack — through a compatibility wrapper that preserved the old JCSI API calls. With 3.0, lxr.CCN uses the NJCSI API natively.
What changes
- Removes the single-thread limitation of the legacy JCSI stack — the CCN message processor becomes multi-threaded, improving the performance of interactions with the CCN Gateway.
- Greater stability and confidence — the native implementation avoids the behavioural differences of the wrapper-based approach.
Deployment requirement
As of release 3.0.0, lxr.CCN requires Oracle WebLogic 12.2.1 or above. If you run WebLogic 12c, the 2.x branch remains fully maintained — and is still the most widely deployed today.
Subsequent 3.0.x updates added report-type selection when sending messages, multi-application import in the Administration UI, and a series of NJCSI fixes.
